In cooperation with the CDBG Weber County has been provided grant money for a Utah First time home buyers program. Each and every qualified applicant will receive $5,000 to use to purchase a Weber County home. The Weber County Grant Money funds are providing eligible applicants with money to be used for down payment and/or closing costs. The $ 5,000 assistance offered is secured as a lien against the property for five years. If the applicant stays in the home for all five years and meets the program guidelines all but $1,000.00 of the assistance will be forgiven.
Qualifications:
- Must be first time homebuyer
- Purchase Property in Weber County (Excluding Ogden)

- Provide a minimum of $2,000 of own funds
- Complete a housing counseling program
- Purchase price must not exceed $180,000
- Must NOT have made an offer on a home without prior approval
